The Methodist Girls’ High School is one of the leading and oldest secondary schools in Sierra Leone and one of the first few exclusively for girls in Freetown, capital of Sierra Leone. Founded in 1880, the school is located at Wilberforce, Congo Cross area in Freetown.
The school has both junior and senior secondary school (JSS and SSS) that runs the Basic Examination Certificate (BECE) its level starts from JSS1 (form one ) to JSS3 (form three) and also the Senior Examination Certificate (SSS4).

Regular meetings: Regular monthly meetings of the Association are held through conference calls on the 3rd Sunday of the month. All past pupils are invited. Annual meetings: An annual meeting of the members takes place in the month of July. At the annual meeting the members elect officers, receive reports on activities of the association and determine the direction of the association for the coming year.
Some alumnae do not have the opportunity of living in areas where alumnae associations are present. MGHS Old Girls' Association - Texas is dedicated to connecting all alumnae of the MGHS.
The Methodist Girls' High School has contributed to the lives of thousands of women. These women have during their time there gained academic excellence and afterwards pursued distinction and now are prominent in religious, legal, social, medical financial, educational, secretarial, political and administrative fields in Africa, Europe and America.
